Venue Details for The Playhouse Theatre

Capacity: 120 seated, cocktail style even more

On Site Ceremony: Yes we have several areas available for an on-site ceremony.

Catering: On site catering always available, we are also able to cater for your off site ceremony.

Furniture: We have high quality wooden tables and stylish dining chairs for up to 100 people.

Extras: Hire of the Playhouse café also includes use of stage, full PA, mics, lights and DJ booth, projector system and large screen at no extra cost! The fee also includes all staffing costs, glass, plate, cutlery hire.

Pack in times: The venue hire fee is for the entire day. Parties are invited to prepare and decorate their wedding from 9am that morning.

Pack out time: The Playhouse’s License runs from 11am till midnight. We would expect your wedding to be pack up by 11am the next morning.

Transport: We have strong links with transport companies in the region and are happy to source transport for 1 to 100 people.

Entertainment: From an acoustic session to 7 piece band we know the best entertainers in Nelson personally and can help you find the perfect people for your wedding.

Wedding venue hire pricing: $1000 between third weekend of November and first weekend of January.

$500 rest of January till Easter.
