Welcome to The Playhouse Theatre, where your reception becomes a truly unique and memorable event. Our magnificent reception room was styled by local artist John Gozney in a captivating grotto motif, featuring stunning copper lighting rigs, intimate nooks and crannies, and of course, a large stage.

We provide high-quality tables and chairs for up to 100 guests, and can arrange for more if needed. You are welcome to decorate the space to match your vision, and our theatre lighting can be customized to complement your color scheme, transforming the room into a magical setting.

Owner Nic Roland has hosted many weddings and is an expert in creating seamless, unforgettable receptions. He will work with you to plan every detail, including food, seating arrangements, and entertainment. Once you’ve booked your wedding with us, Nic will schedule multiple meetings with you and your team to ensure every detail is perfect. Our goal is to handle the logistics so you can relax and simply enjoy your special day.

At The Playhouse Theatre, you get more for your money. Your venue hire includes all staffing, cutlery, plates, and glassware, and you receive complimentary use of the following:

  • Full use of the large theatre stage and curtains

  • Professional theatre lighting

  • In-house PA system, microphones, and cables

  • Mixing desk for all your music needs

  • Backstage breakout area

You also have the option to rent our white linen table clothes for $10 per cloth.

Whether you want a lively jazz group, a fun ’80s cover band, or a professional wedding DJ, we can connect you with the best music professionals in the region. Our PA system also allows you to simply plug in a playlist from your iPod or laptop.

With our spacious stage, you can easily host a large band to truly get the party started. We believe dancing and singing the night away is the perfect way to wrap up your wedding and celebrate to the fullest.
